Simply Sophisticated Month 2

Yippee...Month 2 of the Simply Sophisticated BOM came in the mail yesterday and I got it all done today. This month we had 2 blocks and 6 alternate blocks...they are so pretty...so 2 months so far and I'm up to date...WhoooHooo! This is going to be one pretty quilt! That's all I've gotten done for 2 whole days...I did something to my back yesterday morning and I was one miserable girl...I couldn't do much of anything but sit on the couch with a pillow behind me. I did get some binding done on Hampton's birthday quilt...but oh I hate to waste all that time. Yesterday I remembered that Andy's ortho guy told him he could take 4 Advil for pain if he needed before his shoulder surgery...well then I didn't do anything about it and I was chatting with Tammy and she said the same thing...so this morning I took 4 Advil and I have to tell you, it's like a miracle. I was able to sew some today...and I could sneeze without crying. I still not moving real fast but I'm a zillion times better than yesterday. Thanks Tammy! I'm off to go sit in my jacuzzi tub and see if I can work the rest of this out.

Love those colors together! Nice blocks too. Four Advil and a jacuzzi sounds great for my sciatic nerve issue. Hope you get lots of sewing time in.

Does this mean YOU are not walking??? LOL!!! Seriously though I'm sorry about your back. I hope you feel better soon. If the Advil doesn't work try a glass of VINO!! That cures all.

Oh, my! I don't want you to join the back pain club! Hope you get over it very quickly.

The blocks you made are very pretty. I can't tell if the darker color is a brown or a plum. Fill me in. It's going to be a very nice quilt when done.

Any more news on Hampton?

So very pretty, your blocks are lovely. I so very sorry for your back, let me tell you I know from experience. Back surgery fixed me, however!

Back pain is the worst, isn't it? I've had back problems for years and years, and I know of what you speak. I'm glad you took the Advil - it will definitely help with the inflammation. Take care of yourself, Carol! I'm sending healing thoughts your way.
Your blocks are beautiful!

Those blocks are gorgeous! I am sort of wishing I would have jumped on this band wagon. I like how there are 2 of each block. I'm so glad the 4 advil gave you some relief!

I got my big fat packet from FQS too. I wanted to work on my blocks this weekend, but the dogs got into a big fight and I got into the middle of it, got bit and had to put my arm on ice all weekend, so no sewing!

Looks like another beautiful quilt in the making. I wish I had a jacuzzi! Hope your feeling better.

It really helps to get BOMs done where there is a prize incentive hanging over your head, huh? I'm caught up too.

The blocks are great! I take the generic for Advil at 1000 mg. morning and night for arthritis. Works great!
