Scrap-Basket Sensations Blog Tour
Day Ten
***

P.S. I have no idea why Blogger has all these crazy spaces between everything in this post...I'm so sorry :(
***

Today is my day...this has been a lot of fun...I was very excited when Kim e-mailed me and asked me if I would like to participate in the Blog Tour...I jumped at the chance. Unfortunately I was away for part of the tour and didn't get a chance to start a project from the book...but that sure didn't stop me from picking out the
projects I want to do...no your eyes aren't playing tricks on you...yes I have sticky notes on 6 quilts...and those are just the ones I want to do really soon. Kim did an amazing job with this book...great quilts, and outstanding instructions...as I read through the book, picking out my must do's I read instructions...I found them to be very clear, concise, not to wordy, just right.
First on my list is Summer Daze...it's my favorite...Picnic
will be next...I'm seeing lots of fabrics that will work great for this one...it's such a happy quilt. You know how I love the dark colors so Lake Cabin
and Blessings from the Hollow
are just waiting for me. I'd like a new red, white and blue quilt...so Blues Crossing
will be it and Sparkler
is the perfect 2 color quilt.
This book is available from your local quilt shop, Martingale, Amazon, or your favorite online shop. You aren't going to want to miss this one. Thanks so much Kim.
Make sure to leave me a comment on this post and I'll pick a winner on Monday...the winner will receive a copy of the book sent from Kim...you're going to love it!

Yes! That's what I do -- go through a new book, tag those I definitely want to make next, then I ponder and dream, and when it's time to start, I ponder and wonder. That's that hard part -- deciding which one to start with!
ReplyDeleteI love the quilts from this book more every day! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
ReplyDeleteWould love to make the quilt with the b&W fabrics. Actually there are several that would help me be able to close the door on my scrap bin.
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed this book tour - you all have done a fantastic job getting this book out so we can all see what is inside. Now ..... what one do I do first .....

This looks like an amazing book from reading everyone's posts these past 10 days. (Blogger can be confusing sometimes! The computer in general can be. I've been having problems with "Windows Live Mail", which I don't even use, and would like to just suck it right out of the computer forever!) Thanks for this opportunity to win this book. The blog tour has been fun. ~karen

ReplyDeleteI can see why everyone is having a problem deciding which one to do first, amazing book.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you're having so much trouble picking which one to do first. I think I'd have to do sparkler first ... I'm a sucker for quilts with triangles and for two-color quilts!

ReplyDeleteHi Carol, I started laughing when I saw all your sticky notes poking out of Kim's pattern book because I do the exact same thing. With pattern books and magazines. I have my sticky notes sitting right by my sewing machine so that when I get a new book or magazine I can mark the pages I plan to go back to, and believe me, I use those sticky notes with total abandon and gusto, LOL. I don't think I will need them for Kim's book though, because I want to make every single quilt in it. They are all so great. Thanks for joining in on this blog tour and thanks for a chance to win a copy of the book. Hugs...
ReplyDeleteThis book is simply amazing. Love all those quilts. Lake Cabin is gorgeous! Thank you for the chance to win.
ReplyDeletexo -El

I found out about a program that you can download for free to write your posts that makes it so much simpler and you see exactly what it will look like posted...it is called LiveWire.
