Andy Did Great!

Just a quick post before I head to bed...it's been a long day. Andy's surgery went great. The surgeon said it couldn't have gone any better. We're over one big hurdle...now the hard work begins...his physical therapy begins in the morning. Thanks so much for all the good wishes!

  12. I'm glad to hear it. Catching up on replies but did read about his pre-op and all that. You're so, so, so right on about the Physical Therapy. That's the ticket. But by golly I'm happy to hear the surgery went as planned. That's the first step.

    Be well, caretaker. *karendianne.

  18. I had my left knee replaced 3 years ago. Make sure he uses the CPM machine-it makes a big difference in mobility and reducing the swelling. But it's such a releif to be rid of that awful knee pain I had before. It was definitely worth all the work.

  19. Been there. Done that. Know what it feels like. Encourage Andy on the physical therapy to keep doing it whether he feels like it or not. It really helps him back on the road to getting the knee working as it should. I had days when physical therapy was the last thing I wanted to do. I saw two people who had not done their physical therapy and it really sets you back. I am glad that all went well.
