Oh my, it's been raining for days...not constantly, but on and off since last week...no sun, which is keeping the heat down, but there are downpours and gully washers and then annoying spitting rain, then thunder and lightning and then more spitting rain. I need to see the sun. I feel crabby coming on...so upstairs I go. I've been working on Between Friends 16 patches...it sure is going to be cute.
I got this week's Jelly Roll Sampler block done today

...and then realized I hadn't taken pictures of the previous two blocks...so here they are

. All caught up...YIPPEE!
Saturday, Mom and I leave for the beach for the week...I spent some time today getting some stitchery prepped, I have 2 Schnibbles and a quilt ready to hand stitch the binding down, and I have a big stack of books...I'm ready!
Very pretty Carole! Please send some rain up here -- we're roasting!!!

ReplyDeleteCute block. The Jelly Roll quilt along is coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteOh, please send some our way!! We haven't seen a good rain (or any rain) for weeks. I heard there was some in Charlotte but we are 20 minutes south. Right in that little spot of the county where the rain clouds split and go around! We are leaving for the beach this Friday and I hope to have all my bindings ready to go!
ReplyDeleteSounds like Melbourne! Sunny one minute, pouring the next...

ReplyDeleteI wanted to stop by and thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving me a very kind comment!
We are in the 90's here with high humidity. It won't be long before it will be raining here with those kind of temps!
Catching up on your blog. Glad you enjoyed your beach trip. That is cool, the guy with the bagpipes.
ReplyDeleteLove your blocks.
