Stash Report- Week 2

Well, I think I'm taking "baby steps" to a whole new level...I had several comments last week when I reported my 2.75 yard bust...you all were so kind and said I was doing a good job and that I didn't need to feel badly for not using more...several said..."You need to take baby steps"...I'm thinking this week's bust may be "babier" than you had in mind.
Here it is:

Fabric Added this Week: 0 yards
Fabric Added Year to Date: 0 yards

Fabric Used this Week: 1.75yards
Fabric Used Year to Date: 4.50yards

I've been sewing up a storm but I haven't been pulling any fabric for the projects...these are all things I had started at the end of the year. I really am fine with what I've done so far...I'm thinking everything out rather than just pushing "Buy"buttons...it's taken me years to get to the point that I've even given a thought to purchases...so I really am OK! Here I come Week 3!!!

Wow, good for you! And it is only January 11th! LOL! You have my permission to rag on my all year about fabric purchases. I want to really try and be good too!

Well, I'm zero for zero for BOTH weeks, so I'm not even crawling, much less taking baby steps.

Feel better now?

You know, I've been thinking about this stash busting thing....with the economy the way it is a whole lot more of us will be dipping into our stash like never before. Maybe this is a good thing to clear some of that out....but then somebody else told me we had to keep our quilt shops in business too. Either way....good for you and your on a roll...it's only the first week of the month!

Your doing great. I started with +5 the 1st week, used 4.5 2nd week. I'm taking baby steps too. Good luck for week 3 :-)

No fabric year to date. That's good! I can't say the same but I needed what I bought for ongoing projects. Well, sort of. Hope you are getting lots done. Bring show 'n tell next time I see you.

You just do what you can do . . . . besides you didn't build your stash in a week. There's not way to use it up in a week, right *s*

I feel the same way about my efforts. And I know I won't have complete items each week. So just hang in there and try to head in the right direction.

More than using you didn't add...I'm compromising this year. Every project I've promised myself that if it isn't a stash buster I have to at least use two piece to lower the mound. As long as you are having fun--- that's what matters....it's still cheaper than a psychiatrist!!!!

Good for you! And you're posting your reports too...that's what is holding me back from signing up. Good job Carol :)

You are off to a great start using up 4.5 yards. I used a jelly roll this weekend, so fun.

Well done! You are doing so much better than I am! And I was pushing buttons again today. At least this time it was for packs of fat eighths, and all for collections of future releases. Gotta have those Jo Mortons now that my favorite shop is doing Little Women's Club.

I haven't bought anything for a month now, and I'm very happy digging through my stash for whatever I need. It feel soooooo good, doesn't it? I want to finish my projects from last year...and the year before that...and, etc. LOL!
You are doing very well in the stash busting! Hooray for Carol!
