Stash Report Week 6

It's been a pretty productive week...got the baby quilt top done and put the back together, I got 1 soldier quilt top done and ready to go to my friend Jami and I made a dog bed for the shelter...1 yard of fabric for the outside cover and a couple month's a trimmings off of blocks, from straightening fabric, the dog ears off half square triangles. The shelter loves them because they're all cotton and they can be washed and dried a million times and they usually send them home with the dogs when they get adopted...I can make more.

Fabric Added this Week: 0 yards
Fabric Added Year to Date: 10.75 yards

Fabric Used this Week: 10 yards
Fabric Used Year to Date: 35.75 yards

Total Busted: 20 yards

Wow...you did great on stash busting this week...I'm thinking I really should keep track of my stash as well! Because it's always so interesting when people post their yardages!

Love your plaid quilt! I love plaids but they scare me to death working with them. Love the idea for the dog bed, I could also do that for our shelter!!!

I love the idea of the dog pillow. I wonder if our shelter would want some.

What a cool idea for a dog bed. I'll have to mention this to my sister -- she's volunteering at our local shelter to help wash the dogs so someone will love them!

Look at you go, you stash buster you :) Love the soldier quilt, what pattern is it? So you stuff the doggy bed with scraps, what a great idea. I think I finally threw my big bag of too small scraps away. I knew as soon as I did I'd find a use for them lol!

You are a stash buster, that's for sure!
I love the quilt, and what an excellent idea for a dog bed! Totally washable, and the ultimate in recycling. Thank you for the great idea, Carol.
