I didn't get much done today but I did get the first block done of the 2009 Designer BOM done. Oh I'm going to LOVE this quilt...the fabric is gorgeous and is a dream to work with.
We went to the hospital today and visited our friend and delivered the quilt...she loved it. She looks great, she has a long, long way to go, but is determined to get there. Her biggest hurdle is to get her speech back. Please keep her in your thoughts.
I posted some new books on Brown Quilts and More...there are some really good ones...

Those are really pretty fabrics.
Great you got the first block done already! The fabrics ARE gorgeous.
Now you have to wait til next month's block to arrive :^(
Glad the quilt was appreciated, I'm sure it'll bring her comfort as she recouperates...
Good for you for having your block all done already!!
Mines here too and I also got the finishing kit and back, now I just need to make a little time for myself and put it together, maybe next weekend.
Oh, the block is too pretty. I love that line. You're quilt label was perfect, too. I bet your friend loved the quilt.
I love anything by 3 Sisters!
You have been really busy lately! And I am sure that the UPS man/lady thanks you for it.
Glad that you friend loved the quilt. The label was really inspiring!
Have a good Monday!
It is a great block...and I love the UPS story from your last post too!!! I didn't get the finishing kit, but after seeing the pattern I might have to rethink!
You are using different fabrics of late!
What a pretty block Carol! And I love Andy's message on the quilt label. You two are wonderful friends!
What a pretty block for sure! I have sworn off BOMs because I can't keep up with them, so I will watch others! What a great idea to have a separate blog for selling things. I think I might have to do that so I can unload a few things when we move. I'm sure your lovely quilt will boost your friend's spirits tremendously!
OOOHHHHH - very, very pretty! You are such a temptress! LOL
The block is so pretty, I didn't sign up this year, now I wish I had... Even with all the other projects I have on hand...
That is a beautiful block all on its own rights. Can't wait to see more!
Oh, the first block is just beautiful! I love the colors and the fabric is so soft isn't it? I am sure that you have made someone feel so special and loved!
I can tell from reading your blog that you are a very special person.
Hugs, Cathy
Ahh this is lovely. Perfect for getting me in the mood to sew...
The first block was great and the instructions perfect. I need to post a photo of mine. I am debating whether to start the finishing kit or not...
What a beautiful block! I agree, the fabrics are beautiful! This is going to be one fantastic quilt.
Beautiful block. Love the fabrics.
That is dreamy fabric! It'll be gorgeous.
Oh you're making me wish I would have signed up for that BOM!!! I love it! I will definitely keep your friend in my prayers :) By the way your link wasn't working when I tried to see your books :( Have a great trip Friday...how exciting!
