Gettin' Some Things Done

Oh and that makes me so very happy...I love to get things done. I made my list and spent some afternoons cutting and sewing up a storm. It's been so darn hot here that I've kept myself tucked nicely inside my house, in my sewing room with the air conditioner doing it's job. I can sure get a lot done in this weather...sure don't want to be outside.

I finished this little quilt in just a couple of days...it was so fun. It came as a kit from The Temecula Quilt Company out in California. Sheryl (the shop owner) had this on her blog, I fell in love. I e-mailed her to see if I could get one of my very own. She e-mailed me back and within a few days it had arrived. Great customer service...nothing better than great customer service. Make sure you go by her blog and see all of the wonderful things she has to share. OMG, if I lived closer to her shop, I'd probably be in debtor's prison.

I also finished this month's Simply Sophisticated blocks...we're getting close to the end of this one. I can hardly wait to see what The Fat Quarter Shop has in store for us when it comes time to put this quilt together. This is going to be one gorgeous quilt.

Hope everyone had a great weekend...I sure did...and hope you all have a wonderful week!

Look at that little quilt??? It's adorable. A visit to the Temecula Quilt Co would be on my list to do if I could just get to Southern California. Such an adorable shop!

Cute blocks!

Cute little quilt Carol! You need to have a Maine house for the summer. Or do as my mother's FL friend does -- spend your summers traveling around mooching off of your northern friends!

I love your little quilt! The border fabric was one of my favorites and I have it in many of my small Jo Morton quilts. Am looking forward to seeing the finished quilt you are working on!

Temecula Quilt Company or the Quilters Coop? Or is this shop one in the same? Cute stuff she has and the shop is cute cute cute!! Each time I have been there she has made a move to a new shop ~ I better get back out there before she makes another move! Won't be long before the A/C quilting days will arrive her e in MN. Meanwhile the days are made for outdoor living and we take full advantage of that. Happy sewing days, Carol!
