A Schnibble is Done

I'm very happy to report that a Schnibble is done...not the right Schnibble but a Schnibble none the less...LOL! I wanted to do a table topper for Katie and Josh for Christmas and I just couldn't figure out what to do...a friend of mine got the "Caroler" charm pack and decided to use the Miss Rosie pattern "State Fair"...well, I had a lightbulb moment...that was it...Katie and Josh would just love it. So I got busy...it was really pretty quick and went together perfectly...even with that piano key border...PERFECT! Thank you Carrie for another wonderful pattern.

I'm busy cleaning and baking, grocery shopping and wrapping birthday gifts...this is a busy place...the kids will be here Tuesday evening, I'm picking mom up Tuesday afternoon and she'll be with us the whole time the kids are here. She's beside herself with excitement. We got everything for Hampton's birthday celebration...he LOVES Thomas the Train and all of his friends, so we're having a Thomas birthday...complete with a cake in the shape of Thomas. I called the other day and talked to Katie, I asked her to check with Hampton and find out what he wanted for his birthday dinner...he could have anything he wanted. She called back a bit later, Hampton had given it much thought and he would like...cheeseburgers, french fries and carrots. So that's what we'll be having on Wednesday...oh and they have to be Grandy's cheeseburgers...LOL!

Wishing all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving...we have so much to be thankful for!

That is absolutely darling! So colorful and cheerful.
There is nothing better than a houseful of loved one - enjoy your Thanksgiving and birthday week!!! I was so glad when my boys outgrew Thomas, I got so tired of stepping on those infernal metal trains, lol! I think we had at least two of each.

I'd been thinking just earlier today that you had the grandkids coming this week and how excited you must be...understatement right? Who wouldn't just love that State Fair quilt and especially made from your heart and hands. Hampton and Little Miss...soon....soon....life is good!

Your Schnibble made up well with your fabric choice. I know you will be having a grand time having your family with you over Thanksgiving.
Carrots with his cheeseburger. Can't imagine a child asking for that. He will have good eye sight!

It's so exciting when we create something that hits the mark. This is a great quilt, the kids are going to treasure it! Sounds like you have a nice week ahead and I know I don't need to tell you to enjoy the time with family, lol, seems like it took forever and a day for this week to arrive. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. PS: My SIL grates the carrots and adds it to the hamburgers! Yum. :-)

I love the way that your table topper turned out! I am sure that your daughter will also love it.

Enjoy your time with the grandkids!...But don't party too hard at the Thomas the Train party!....and save some of the carrots for the Little Ones!

See you when the party is over.

I missed the whole Thomas the Train era but I've heard he's quite popular. Don't be surprised if I pop in on your birthday party so I can play trains too!! :)
I suppose if I would read in the right place, I'd find out what a schnibble is.......
