I Was Almost Late to Another Party
When am I going to catch up? How in the world did I ever work and get stuff done? Where do the days go? I ask myself these questions every single day...When I first saw the Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt Along, I thought it would be great fun to do...here I am 3 days before block 2 comes out and I'm just getting the first block posted...I have 2 jelly rolls of Chelsea Boutique...a pretty old group of Blackbird Designs...this is going to be lots of fun. But oh dear...I need to get my button up on my blog and I need to figure out how to get my block on Flickr...hopefully I can get that part done, before I have to say I'm LATE! I'm off to see if I can do this!

Your block looks great! I have one of those rolls in the stash pantry.
Yummy! Great great fabric. Such a pretty block and it helps too that you're a divine quilter. I love to see the way you piece everything. You Rock! my friend. You totally rock. Sorry I've been M.I.A. I've been busy being a quilter and trying to keep up which hasn't exactly been going along so well. Oh and hey, what about this bit of change in weather, eh? Well aside from the rain... I think we can take off the extra blankets now, don't you?
It's very pretty. Love the soft colours. Well done !
I love your block, Chelsea Boutique is one of my favorites. Welcome to the party.
Love your block!
When you figure out how to catch up let me know. I've been trying to figure it out for years.
The block is gorgeous. Can't wait to see the rest of the quilt.
Your block is so pretty.....I love those fabrics! You aren't late because you finished it before the next one comes out! Heck, you could even say you are early! LOL
Love those pretty fabrics in your block Carol!
Pretty, I like it!
Do you need flickr help, Carol? Let me know. I know the basics, that is it. Your block is GORGEOUS! I love it.
That's beautiful!! You can do it, hon!
So pretty....and I am laughing because I thought the same exact thing today. How in the heck did I work before and get stuff done, and the other problem I can seem to keep track of what day it is. Such is retirement!!!
Oh so glad you are coming to the party! I was late too but as they say "Better late than never". Your block is gorgeous!
I've made the block, but that's it. I have no idea how to post a picture on Flickr, I've yet to blog about my block, AND I haven't even officially signed up for the Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt Along! But hey, having the block done should count for something.
I think your first block looks great. Since I'm not familiar with that line of fabric I'll be eager to see each new creation!
Come on in, welcome to the party. Now we start to play cause Carol's here. YIPPEE
By the way, Did you bring the chocolate?
Love your block! I ask myself those same questions every day, too. LOL
That's a beautiful block! And what great fabric!
That's really pretty Carol. Love the fabrics you put together. Very girly.
Congratulations you conquered flicker and met your deadline. I saw your block there and it looks lovely.
Oh my, oh my, I haven't yet done mine and now there are only two days before block 2. I guess I better get to it....tomorrow.
The Jelly Roll Quilt Along is enticing that's for sure so I don't blame you for starting it! I'm not familiar with the fabric you used but I love how block #1 looks.
That's beautiful! I love that group of fabrics.
Beautiful block
Beautiful fabrics Carol. I know several of the boms you are doing and I ahve to say you are quite busy!!!
I have been seeing a lot of those blocks around blogland and I really like the fabrics you picked.
I think you were fashionably late for the party, so not to worry. Nice block. I've been trying to set some deadlines for myself so I can get things done in the sewing room, but swore off BOMs, swaps and attempting to sew-along. Takes me too far off track when I commit to those things. Hope the sunshine has found you. Sure felt good while it was here, but the rain and clouds are making an appearance once again. Beats than snow!
how are you??
busy week I bet! was just thinking about you have a great weekend!
Kathie
Gorgeous quilts, grandkids and dogs. I'll be visiting regularly now.
It's fun to see the different fabric everyone is using for the Jelly Roll project. I love the cameo quilt. I have that pattern and have yet to decide what fabrics to use.
Love your block - and the fabric you chose! I loved Chelsea Boutique! Hey - if you learn how to do flickr will you teach me LOL? I never have been able to figure it out!
