I Did Cartwheels Down the Stairs...

NO! NO! Don't panic...I really didn't...but that is what I told Mr. Brown Quilts when I came flying downstairs and found him outside...I made him stop what he was doing...and turned him into Mr. Quiltholder...here's what I was so excited about...My Between Charming Friends top is done...YIPPEE! I love it...thank you again Darlene for designing this wonderful quilt and to Kelly for challenging us to do these little blocks. Now I need to start the quilt for Twin #2...but it will have to wait a few days...I have some other things in the works.

I have to share this sweet picture...A very happy dad with his girl!

It's beautiful. Our misters are terrific quilt holders! That little cutie is a daddy's girl.

Very pretty! Have you ever heard the book Silly Sally? I just read it to my little one the other night and your title reminds me of that. LOL. Glad you didn't fall down the stairs.

It's awesome Carol. I like how you did the border, perfect. Good thing you didn't really do cartwheels down the stairs, but I'm sure you're doing the happy dance that this quilt top is done. Cute picture too.

Carol, your BCF Quilt is beautiful. I did the smaller version. It was the first 'little quilt' I have ever made and now I am wanting to Schnibble, LOL. Also, I was noticing in your last post that you had started stitching "Nice People, Nice Things"...I started mine day before yesterday!!! Aren't they the cutest patterns? I started with the Cup of Tea block and like you, I get better as I go along. I used to do all sorts of truly fancy and elegant needlework and crochet doilies but 'life happened' and due to health issues I lost some of the feeling and coordination in my hands. I have been piecing quilts on my machine but I wanted to hand stitch something sooo bad that I just tried some simple embroidery patterns a couple of weeks ago and did fair. When I saw some of the NPNT blocks stitched up on Kelly's Charming Chatter blog I absolutely had to have them. If you can believe, after searching all over the internet and finally sending an email to the designer Helen Stubbings, I actually found a set at a shop right here in Utah. My DH drove me 120 miles round trip to get them! I'm diving in! I'm slow, but oh how I'm enjoying them. Well, I've rambled enough, I'll let you go do some stitching. By the way, that is and adorable picture of 'dad and his little girl', what a sweetie!

I am so in love with your between friends! I just never thought of doing it in 30's and it is so perfect! Obviously I"ve been a mother of 4 messy kids - while I loved the picture of dad and his little girl all I could think of was - I could NEVER have a white couch in my house!

You are not going to believe this.... but your reply to my previous comment went into my spam folder and I deleted it before I realized it.

I do apologize, and if you have a minute to reply again about the pattern, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

This is a charming quilt. The pieces are SEW tiny and that requires much patience.
