Bits and Pieces

That's exactly what I feel like I've been doing...bits and pieces. I don't have anything finished, but I sure haven't gotten bored. Really jumped around from one thing to another...doing a little of this and a little of that.

Andy went up to Pennsylvania last week for a wedding, and while he was there he got to spend some time with some friends and his brothers and I got to sew, all day, everyday...everyone was happy. Most of what I worked on I can't share, I did some Spring Market sewing for Lynda Hall of Primitive Pieces by Lynda...she'll be sharing when she gets everything finished. Some really fun patterns!

I saw this on Minnick & Simpson's and Lissa Alexander's blogs and knew I needed to do this. What a great cause...thank you so much for letting us participate. I did one for me and one for mom...easy, quick and such a need.

Trying to stay caught up on my BOM's...so far, so good...Month 1 and Month 2 of Civil War Chronicles...lots and lots of half square triangles...great blocks...these are big blocks...16" finished blocks...and they've gone together perfectly. Makes me very happy!

I've said it before, but I really, really am going to try to post more often...I just don't know where the time goes...it's morning then I blink and it's evening...

like all your working on 16" blocks take some time to piece I think-but they are a nice size!

Sometimes it's the bits and pieces that take up the most time! More than a finished top! :-) beautiful blocks!

I know what you mean about time passing by... I commit to my blog in my mind but the action comes much later.
I love your blocks...

Great job! Keep it up. I can't wait to see the finished product.

I have a book on making an underground railroad quilt. I hope to do so in the near future.

I think it's cool you are working on a Civil War quilt.

Bits & pieces but a good bit done, especially since you are secret sewing.

Home alone sewing. A good day! I printed out the soldier block pattern and info but I need to get fabric. I don't think lime green polka dots would be appropriate. Your blocks are so pretty.

I've done my star for the QOV project! I think they will surpass their desired 1800 stars if we keep spreading the word. Love your CW Chronicles blocks~~so many HSTs!

I think Bits & Pieces of time equated to beautiful blocks.

Love all your blocks. I'm planning to make a star block to send, too.

If I could find a store that sells big chunks of time, I would spent all my money there. :-)

You HAVE been catching up on your sewing !! And such beautiful things, Carol.

Always good to hear from you - no matter how long between posts.

I am a fan.

Your star blocks are beautiful Carol! I have a bunch of bits and pieces going too -- I just keep telling myself "Slow and Steady Wins the Race". Hopefully, the bits and pieces will turn into something before we get tired of them!

Bits and pieces are a very good thing - can't have a 'whole' without all the bits and pieces. :-)

Love your star blocks and BOM blocks - woohoo!!!!

I do that a lot, working on bits and pieces. It doesn't always feel like I'm accomplishing anything. Love the blocks you made.

I'm happy you're happy spending time in your sewing room. I don't have the knack for jumping from one thing to another, but it sounds like you're enjoying it, how great is that. I do like what I see, and am looking forward to more.
