April...

How can that even be possible?  Where is this year going?  I was chatting with the boy across the street and he said that they go back to school tomorrow after their spring break...and that begins the last quarter of the year.  I was shocked...I feel like he was just telling me about his new schedule at school.

Spring is in full swing here and from what the weatherman is saying summer is beginning this week...he actually had 90's in his predictions for the next coming days...I'm just not ready for that.  It was a very warm March but the humidity has been very low and the breeze has been blowing, so it's really been pretty nice...I'm not sure what I'll have to say about the 90's.  This may just be the beginning of my summer hibernation...hmmmm, maybe I'll get tons of sewing done.

The birds are building nests...see the brown blob almost to the top of this cypress tree...a very large bird has been building this...my neighbor thinks it's an osprey but I'm not sure.  If it is they'll have a perfect view of the pond right next to the tree...dinner every night...

The boys want to be outside all the time...they do this every single morning...just wait for that door to open...lots of fresh new smells and lots of lizards for Zack to chase.

And the azaleas are blooming...
The crepe myrtles are starting to pop out
...can't wait for them to bloom. Oh no that means about 2 months from now...can't rush anymore time away.

I think Mother Nature has been a very confused lady this year. Our Spring is in full bloom and gorgeous. Always something new blooming to notice on my walk with Abby.

I truly cannot believe that it April 1 already!! I have been having a love affair with all of the Spring beauty, but I am not ready for Summer temps. I even saw the first lightning but on Friday night. That is just waaaaay early... My two pups are just like yours', want to spend all of the time outside. :)

Hard to believe April is here...with the strange weather we had in NY this winter (and I use that term loosely) spring sprung a month early. I do love the freshness in the air on good days, and seeing all those buds and the happy daffodils makes me smile.
Hope you enjoy your spring beauty as well.

Yes the year is just flying by. Our Azaleas are all gone now, but I am looking at some very pretty flowers and trees blooming. Have a great week!

I can't believe it's April already! We had a week in the high 80's, and everything bloomed, but we're back to winter coats - the blooms are gone already. We usually do get a snow in April though, so no surprises. I hope the summer isn't too hot....

I drove past a house by my kids school yesterday and their Lilacs were blooming!! WHAT THE... They don't normally bloom till the end of May! I was floored!! The lizard comment cracked me, yesterday as I sat outside with my dogs I watched my big dog (Mitzi) play with a big fat bumble bee for about 15 min!! and then of course she ate it!! LOL

Time is flying for sure. My dogs are the same-can't wait to get out of the house sniff around and then go lie down and guard the yard against birds.

Somehow March just flew by...I agree! But I so enjoyed it, as spring came early to NW Missouri...so unusual! My lilac bush is in bloom, and usually it blooms at the end of April. I am having a hard time getting to my sewing room, the yard and flower beds are calling me! Enjoy your week!
