Got the Crud...

but it was so worth it...I'd do it again in a minute!  Can't remember when I had so much fun...grandchildren are truly the BEST!  I got home Sunday evening from the most wonderful 9 days ever...we laughed, sang, played, read books, ate fun stuff I never eat here (Chick-fil A...YUM!), had a Tball game
, went to Kindermusik, had a birthday party, went to the playground

, had a picnic,rode bikes and scooters
...can I just say we were busy, busy.  And was it ever FUN!

Poor Camden woke up on Saturday with that horrible barky cough...bless her heart...and what is a Mamie to do but hold her whenever she wanted.  I was thinking I was going to be OK, but then Monday afternoon things started downhill and Tuesday morning I woke up with no voice...not one single thing would come out...yes, I'll answer your question before you ask..."Andy was doing the happy dance!"  LOL!  Needless to say things were pretty quiet around here all day Tuesday...Wednesday my voice started to com back, but the cough and congestion...well let me just say YUCK!  Today is the best I've felt, energy is coming back, but I need to not go too crazy around here.  There are a million things I want to do, but I think I'll take it slow.

Blogger isn't playing nice with my pictures today so I'll be back tomorrow with birthday pictures and some new pics of Peyton...oh my gosh how he's grown...see you tomorrow!  ENJOY your Friday!

Sounds like you had 9 wonderful days! And yes, how can we resist holding, cuddling, and kissing those grandbabies, even if they are sick? Hope you are feeling better soon.

I'm so glad you took that trip to see the Little People. I know it was worth 'the crud'. :-)

They are getting sooooo big. Can't wait to see pictures of Peyton.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time with the kids. They grow up so fast that anytime you can do that, will be good memories for everyone.

What a treat to spend time with the grandchildren! Hope you feel better soon. I got sick last Sunday and am just now feeling back to sort of normal.

Oh Carol, I can so relate to the crud from the kiddos. Can't tell you how many times we've ended up sick after a visit with them. But you're right...it's so worth it. Sounds like a fun trip. Now I'm sure you're just vegging.... ;)

And after all that fun and adventure, maybe you needed something to force you to chill for a while (not as in fever and chills--you know what I mean).
Looks like a grand time!!

The "crud" is a small price to pay to have time with the grands. I've experienced that myself ... so I know firsthand just how much it's worth it! ;-) But glad you're feeling better.

Too bad we don't live closer, we could have the crud together! I came down with the same thing on Tuesday....So glad you had fun with the darling grandkids! Aren't they the best thing ever? I am walking with my 7 year old grand-daughter in a March of Dimes walk on Sunday...hope I am over this by then!

Sounds like a glorious 9 days, it always goes to fast. Sorry you got the crud, but its worth it to get to give your little cutie some special time to get her over the hump. Cherish the memories, they do grow up so fast.

The "good" was definitely worth the "crud", and I'm glad the "crud" is over.

P.S. I love the previous post with the boys on their bed. Give them a scratch, a hug and treat from their girlfriend. :)
