Keeping my hands busy, playing with fabric and listening to my machine whir is good for my spirit...each day this week has gotten better and we're getting used to our "new normal"...Howie's doing well...as we've gotten better, he's gotten better.
I finished my ornament quilt this week and I'm lovin' it...
it's a combination of Twelve Days of Christmas and Joy both by Kate Spain and the pattern is a Thimbleblossoms pattern by Camille. It was so fun to do...enjoyed every minute of sewing this one. Yes that's Mr. Brown Quilts holding up the top...he loves doing his Wilson pose.

That's really pretty Carol. I'm so happy you guys are all getting better day by day over there. Milo says to tell Howie woof.
Love your ornament quilt! Very festive :-) Glad to hear you are keeping busy. Time does help a little. Hugs to you all with some extra head scratches for sweet handsome Howie.
Your ornament quilt is so cute. It's good to keep busy.
Everyone says this quilt is so much fun to make, must get the pattern and make it next year. So sorry about your sweet dog..we will not have our Katie next year, she is getting worse with her nasal cancer. Hope you and yours have a good Christmas, I love your blog and visit regularly..
Oh Carol, I love the quilt, I have been seeing this one a lot and it is so darned adorable. Ya know it's so true that sewing is complete and total therapy. When I'm stressed or down, and have free time I head straight for my sewing room. I find so much healing peace in there, it is a perfect place to heal. Well, big hugs coming to you and would you add a few extra scratches and hugs to all the others lined up for Howie??? LOL ...
It is so cute, Carol! I'm so glad to hear that all of you are doing better, including Howie. Tis the Season for nervous breakdowns, you know. :)
Great quilt. Just makes me smile. Fun blocks and great fabrics. Congrats on a finish.

Mr. Brown Quilts looks great, and so does the quilt! Has his name changed from Mr. Quilt Holder?
Love your fabric choices for the Ornament quilt. It takes time to get past the immediate feelings of loss, but I know you will never forget your canine friend . Quilting is the best therapy.
Good to hear you are doing better...yes, day by day.I have you and the Mr. in my thoughts. Love your quilt and the fabrics you used.....super cute.
