- Carol
- After teaching for 24 years and then fulfilling my dream of having a quilt shop, I retired the end of August 2007. Having the shop for almost 8 years was wonderful...I had a great time, met lots of people that I am happy to call friends, but the time came to retire. Andy retired in April, so the time was right. I'm loving spending time with him and getting to go see my 2 grandsons, granddaughter, son and daughter-in-law whenever I want. And I get to SEW!

Carol, my heart sank when I saw your post. I am so very sorry . I have been where you are. The acute stage of grief passes with time, but the sense of loss lingers for a very long time.

So sorry about your sweet Zach. I know you will miss him greatly. Our furry friends are such a big part of our lives. I lost my first (totally mine, not family's) dog on Christmas Eve many years ago. I still have an 8x10 photo of him in the guest bedroom.

Sending thoughts, prayers and hugs. Losing our furry family members is so hard. We just lost 2 dogs, grandmother (18 yrs) and granddaughter (13 yrs) last month. They take up so much room in our lives and hearts and leave such a large hole when they leave. Take care of yourselves and Howie.

Carol--my precious Barney dog went to heaven December 5. The house has such an empty silence to it. Hugs to you. Cherish the memories. We will get through this. P.S.--I haven't blogged in years, but I'm thinking about restarting my blog again. All that's left on it, is my photo of Barney.
Oh Carol.....I am so so very sorry about sweet Zach leaving for the Rainbow Bridge. It is so heartbreaking to lose one of our furkids and then you have Howie who was so close to his buddy. Big hugs coming your way....He may have left this earth but he will always be in your heart.

Carol, I'm so sorry about your sweet Zach. We lost our little dog Chloe last year about this same time. It's heart wrenching but know he is in heaven now and happy. Time will heal your hearts.
