- Carol
- After teaching for 24 years and then fulfilling my dream of having a quilt shop, I retired the end of August 2007. Having the shop for almost 8 years was wonderful...I had a great time, met lots of people that I am happy to call friends, but the time came to retire. Andy retired in April, so the time was right. I'm loving spending time with him and getting to go see my 2 grandsons, granddaughter, son and daughter-in-law whenever I want. And I get to SEW!

Oh my goodness!! Over 500 of them....I am in awe. It is beautiful. I have a confession to make- after I saw beginnings of your quilt on your blog I ordered a template to make one myself. I got it yesterday and it is sort of small. What size is your template or were they already cut? I can't imagine cutting out that many.

I LOVE tumbler quilts!
what a great idea for a baby quilt.
now you need to start cutting for a bed quilt for yourself out of all the fabrics you use this next year!
throw them in a shoe box, you will be amazed at how fast that box fills up!

This is exactly what I have wanted to do with my Jelly roll and charm pack with ME fabrics...but never even got close ito making...wanted to find a ruler for tumblers...but nah..nothing found.. So I was so happy to see your lovely quilt!!! Maybe there is hope for me..lol..

I just love it! I have never braved the "tumbler" pattern. I always thought it looked hard. Yours has turned out beautiful.

I have always loved the tumbler piece. Just 500 pieces? Are they all different or did you repeat some fabrics?
