May Schnibble and a Jelly Roll

This was such a fun Schnibble month...it was our choice and with Carrie's new book Schnibbles Times 2 I was like a kid in a candy store trying to make my choice. I settled on Imagine and I just love it. I used Civil War Crossing by Barbara Brackman for MODA...it looks old and that makes me very happy. Can't wait to get it quilted and get it in the washer and the dryer so it gets all crinkly and squishy. It will be fun to see what the girls have up their sleeves for us in June.

Here's my Jelly Roll Sampler block for this week...I think this is my favorite block so far.

I spent a good bit of time yesterday cleaning and organizing in my sewing room...I found some more destashing goodies. I'll be back!

Isn't the new book fun? I like the fabric choices you made. How will you quilt it? What's your backing?

Just "Imagine" how comfy you'll be once this beauty is washed and dried and ready to wrap around someone?

I like those crinkles myself.

The new Schnibbles book has been such a hit. I'm seeing her quilts all over the place.
I love your de-stashing ideas. I think I will do some of the same in my Etsy shop.

Oh my gosh you delighttttt me!!!!! I was going to leave my calling card but I think I'll just walk right up and sit in the front yard. It's late so I'm thinking Howie and Zach are sleeping anyway. They wont notice.

Your Civil War Crossing quilt is gorgeous. I have made 2 table toppers with this same fabric collection and they were just 'okay', but missing something. When I saw your quilt I realized what it was...the light background to really showcase the fabrics. I'm relatively new to quilting so I'm still learning and getting braver about choosing colors but I really do need to start using some whites and off whites to enhance things. I still have enough of the jelly roll left to make a small topper so I'm going to give it a try. All thanks to you sharing this photo of your quilt. Hugs coming your way.
