It's Been Raining, So I've Been Upstairs

Oh my, it's been raining for days...not constantly, but on and off since last week...no sun, which is keeping the heat down, but there are downpours and gully washers and then annoying spitting rain, then thunder and lightning and then more spitting rain. I need to see the sun. I feel crabby coming on...so upstairs I go. I've been working on Between Friends 16 patches...it sure is going to be cute.

I got this week's Jelly Roll Sampler block done today...and then realized I hadn't taken pictures of the previous two blocks...so here they are. All caught up...YIPPEE!

Saturday, Mom and I leave for the beach for the week...I spent some time today getting some stitchery prepped, I have 2 Schnibbles and a quilt ready to hand stitch the binding down, and I have a big stack of books...I'm ready!

Oh, please send some our way!! We haven't seen a good rain (or any rain) for weeks. I heard there was some in Charlotte but we are 20 minutes south. Right in that little spot of the county where the rain clouds split and go around! We are leaving for the beach this Friday and I hope to have all my bindings ready to go!

Sounds like Melbourne! Sunny one minute, pouring the next...

Lovely colors! Beach time, already. But it's very hot on beach! Of course, there's all that fresh seafood - yum.

Oh, I love what you are working on!

So lovely:)

Sure could use your rain here. We haven't had any in three weeks. Things are getting crusty and this heat-wave we are having is killing me!

I hope the weather is improved for your beach trip. We have been overcast here...I keep going "where is our Summer?" Which I will probably begin whining about shortly after it arrives lol!! I LOVE this month's block--very pretty and I really like your fabric too! So tell me what's in your book stack, that's what I really want to know :)
Have a great time with your mom next week!!!

We are in the middle of a heat wave and to think just a week ago we needed to have the furnace going. Love your blocks, can't wait to see the stitchery you'll be doing soon.

I hope your beach trip is rain free! Enjoy. The colors in your blocks are so pretty. We've had 2 days of rain and all it did was amp up the humidity. However, my basil LOVES it.

I love the blocks you are working on, or should I say I really love the fabrics you are using on your new blocks. There really aren't too many fabrics I don't like. LOL
I wanted to stop by and thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving me a very kind comment!
We are in the 90's here with high humidity. It won't be long before it will be raining here with those kind of temps!
