Time for a New Book or Two

Last night I finished reading The Last Beach Bungalow...I liked it very much...an easy, quick read but really left me thinking.

Next on my night stand is Sarah's Quilt by Nancy Turner...I've been looking forward to this one since I finished These is My Words. I need another book to read though that is a paperback that I can take to the gym and read while I'm walking on the treadmill and climbing the stairmaster...Diane over at Joyful Reader suggested Big Stone Gap by Adriana Trigiani...she said, "will keep you captivated, and your mind off the exercise aches and pains." Sounds perfect...anyone have any other suggestions? I always need a gym book.

Hi Carol,
Its Deborah. Read The Little Book by Seldon Edwards. Absolutely a wonderful book.
All is well with me. There is indeed a great life after shop ownership. I am going to be a grandma and am busy and happy. I do read your blog and hope all is good with you,
Best,
Deborah

I read "Mercy" by Jody Picoult on vacation. Read it in two days and liked it very much.
We listened to "Handle With Care" by the same author while riding in the car on the trip. It really makes you think and we did like it.

Hi Carol.. I just finished A Thread so Thin by Marie Bostwick.. but this is the third of a series of three. The first is A Single Hread; the second A Thread of Truth. All three are great but should be read in sequence.
Enjoy!

I finished Sarah's Quilt last night and I have the third one in the series (can't remember what it's called, sorry) ready to start today. I have loved both of the others. I've seen The Last Beach Bungalow on a couple of blogs today, so perhaps that's a sign that I need to go talk to Mr Amazon>

The Last Beach Bungalow looks like one that I would enjoy for a Summer read. :)

Well I'm visiting a few blogs today to see if I can spend a little time on the computer without hurting myself lol! I just finished Replay for my book club...it's a fast read and definitely gets you thinking. It's about a guy who dies of a heart attack and then wakes up and he's back in his college dorm and has a chance to live his life over...and over etc. I'm reading Julie and Julia right now and even though I've seen the movie and read the blog I'm really enjoying it.

I loved reading "Last Beach Bungalow". I'm reading "Searching for Pemberley" at the moment. I like it though it is taking me awhile as I'm reading in only short bursts. I'm a huge Jane Austen fan so that was why I chose it. I recently enjoyed "Alice's Tulips" by Sandra Dallas. Also liked "Aloha Quilt".
