Scrap-Basket Sensations Blog Tour
Day Ten
***
P.S. I have no idea why Blogger has all these crazy spaces between everything in this post...I'm so sorry :(
***
Today is my day...this has been a lot of fun...I was very excited when Kim e-mailed me and asked me if I would like to participate in the Blog Tour...I jumped at the chance. Unfortunately I was away for part of the tour and didn't get a chance to start a project from the book...but that sure didn't stop me from picking out the projects I want to do...no your eyes aren't playing tricks on you...yes I have sticky notes on 6 quilts...and those are just the ones I want to do really soon. Kim did an amazing job with this book...great quilts, and outstanding instructions...as I read through the book, picking out my must do's I read instructions...I found them to be very clear, concise, not to wordy, just right.
First on my list is Summer Daze...it's my favorite...Picnic will be next...I'm seeing lots of fabrics that will work great for this one...it's such a happy quilt. You know how I love the dark colors so Lake Cabin and Blessings from the Hollow are just waiting for me. I'd like a new red, white and blue quilt...so Blues Crossing will be it and Sparkler is the perfect 2 color quilt.
This book is available from your local quilt shop, Martingale, Amazon, or your favorite online shop. You aren't going to want to miss this one. Thanks so much Kim.
Make sure to leave me a comment on this post and I'll pick a winner on Monday...the winner will receive a copy of the book sent from Kim...you're going to love it!

Hello Carol,
it is the last day of this event and I said:
Go to your stash and take your Scraps to make this very nice quilts.
But anybody need this book, too.
Maybe it is early in my hand, I hope
Have a nice weekend and thank you for all Blogger and Kim for showing us this great quilts.
Elke L.
Now I'm back to Lake Cabin as the 1st on my list ;)
(Blogger formatting/photos kind of sucks but they do have an upgrade that sucks a little less. maybe!)
I am so in love with this book that if I don't win - I certainly am buying this. RIght from the cover to the last quilt - you just want to make them all.

My favorite is Blues Crossing (at least so far). I love looking thru (and using) quilt books. I'd love to win this book.
The picutres from the book are awesome. I can't decide which quilt is my favorite, but I'm sure I will want to make several of them. Thanks for a chance to win a copy.

Yes! That's what I do -- go through a new book, tag those I definitely want to make next, then I ponder and dream, and when it's time to start, I ponder and wonder. That's that hard part -- deciding which one to start with!
I love the quilts from this book more every day! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Would love to make the quilt with the b&W fabrics. Actually there are several that would help me be able to close the door on my scrap bin.
I have enjoyed this book tour - you all have done a fantastic job getting this book out so we can all see what is inside. Now ..... what one do I do first .....
So many great quilts to choose from! I think my favorite is Over and Under, but that may change when I get my hands on a copy of the book. Thanks for the chance to win!

This looks like an amazing book from reading everyone's posts these past 10 days. (Blogger can be confusing sometimes! The computer in general can be. I've been having problems with "Windows Live Mail", which I don't even use, and would like to just suck it right out of the computer forever!) Thanks for this opportunity to win this book. The blog tour has been fun. ~karen

I can see why everyone is having a problem deciding which one to do first, amazing book.
No wonder you're having so much trouble picking which one to do first. I think I'd have to do sparkler first ... I'm a sucker for quilts with triangles and for two-color quilts!
I can't wait to see your finished quilts!
This looks like such a fantastic book - it would be hard to chose which one to make first!♥
I love the lake cabin quilt. I would love to win this book. Thanks for the blog book tour. It has been great.

The more I see of this book, I like! I think I want to make all of the quilts! I'd love to be the lucky winner, but just in case I'm not, I've already got the book in my cart on Amazon lol.
You are so like me! When I go through a book, I'll tag it with which quilts sparked a "DO ME" to the page and actually I'll number them too.
Kim's other book is so fantastioc that I'd love to get this one too.
Jane
PS: I don't like it when blogger doesn't (play Well) go smoothly with what I have in mind either. lol
Wow - I have love the book review and thanks for the chance to win!

This book is a winner and I hope I am too! I have seen so many quilt patterns that I would like to make...in fact I haven't seen one that I wouldn't want to make. hehe! Thanks for a chance to win!
I'm sure I too will have quite a few post-it flags on my copy when I get one :) I have just loved seeing everyone review this book and am always glad to hear when instructions are easy to follow and clear. Thanks for sharing and good luck with all your projects!
Hi Carol, I started laughing when I saw all your sticky notes poking out of Kim's pattern book because I do the exact same thing. With pattern books and magazines. I have my sticky notes sitting right by my sewing machine so that when I get a new book or magazine I can mark the pages I plan to go back to, and believe me, I use those sticky notes with total abandon and gusto, LOL. I don't think I will need them for Kim's book though, because I want to make every single quilt in it. They are all so great. Thanks for joining in on this blog tour and thanks for a chance to win a copy of the book. Hugs...
This book is simply amazing. Love all those quilts. Lake Cabin is gorgeous! Thank you for the chance to win.
xo -El
Thanks for sharing more about this wonderful new book. Thanks for the chance to win!
The best thing about a quilt book to me is wanting to make more than one or two quilts from it. This one definitely seems to fit that criteria for so many people. Every project I've seen from it is just wonderful. I'd love to be entered for a chance to win!
Oh I think my sticky note pad would overwhelm this book!!! So many scraps - and so many great ideas!
Too true...so many quilts on the newest "to do" list for us all!!

Hi Carol~
This is a great book and I can't wait to get my hands on it. It is on my Amazon wish list now!
I found out about a program that you can download for free to write your posts that makes it so much simpler and you see exactly what it will look like posted...it is called LiveWire. I believe I found out about it from Anne Suttons blog at Bunny Tales. It took a little while to load, but super easy to use and when you are ready to post you just push Publish and voila!
Thank you for this final chance to win such a wonderful book! I too would have to mark many pages with sticky notes .... beautiful projects :) Thank you!!
No question why you have so many stickies on the book! Have fun choosing which one to start with!
Looks a fab book, love the blog post xxx

Blogger has been acting up lately...I don't need to win this book as I got my copy yesterday, but I am sure I can't pick a favorite.
I've already found several favorite quilts during this blog tour, and when I'm done with the two from the previous book, I will definetely get this one. It's really a "must have" book!
I've saved a couple of jelly rolls I want to use on some of these new quilts, and can't wait to start!
Wish you a great and creative weekend,
Laila
I used to be one of those matchy-matchy people; but since I moved to a town where there is no quilt shop I have started making scrap quilts; I love them, I'm showing some friends how to make one today.
I've been cutting strips for this book! Seen so many over the last ten days I want to make! Will be looking for a copy of it at Mid-Atlantic, if don't win one of the ten being given away. If not at Mid-Atlantic then will be ordering a copy on-line.
