Thank You!

Thank you just doesn't seem sufficient...but that's all we have...thank you to all my Blogland friends for being here with me all along the way through this journey with mom.  Thank you for your calls, notes, cards, e-mails...you have strengthened me, boosted my spirits, and brightened my days more than you'll ever know.

My plan for the weekend is to not do any "stuff"...my days have been filled with paperwork and phone calls...I promised Andy that I was going to take a few days off from that...it can wait...I've done everything that must be done...I'll get back to it on Tuesday...I'm going to get upstairs and sew...I really think I'm doing OK...and I think after I take this little break I may just be better than OK.

Happy March!

I'm so sorry to hear about your mum's passing. My condolences to you and your family. Even though we try to prepare ourselves it is still a shock. I lost my mum last July/11 and my FIL just 4 days ago so I totally understand what you are experiencing. Take care my friend

Good idea! Be kind to yourself, the grieving process is hard work.

It's amazing how much better you feel touching fabric and running your sewing machine. Have fun taking your break. You deserve it!

It sounds like you need a little time away from all of the stuff that goes with the death of a loved one. Take care and enjoy your few days off.

I hope you can find some solace with your fabric. Be sure to take time to grieve as needed. It's a long process, but you'll be comforted by your wonderful memories. Hugs!

Take care of yourself ... and some time with your fabric and swing machine is certainly a way to do just that. {{hug}}

Carol, please take all the time you need to heal from your Mom's passing. It was so very special for you to share the pictures and give us a little 'peek' at this wonderful woman.

We all love you in blogland and completely respect the fact that you need time to heal. Know that we are praying for you and your family daily. And we will certainly be here when you return.

God Bless!

Your Follower, Jeanna :)

You need a break, so 'SEW'. You need some 'me time' to start the recovery process.

Just remember to take care of yourself, so do make this weekend off top priority. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other. Touching fabric, doing what makes us take a breath and find that inner place of peace will help. Grief takes time, but then the good memories will fill the void.

Carol, I'm so sorry about your mom. There is a season for everything, I'm glad you got to spend so much time with her. May your sewing bring you peace and joy as you recover.

It is always a surprise how much of what we often think of as important really can wait. You were there for your Mom, and then your family, now you can take a little bit of time for you. Have a restful, peaceful weekend.

I know of the daze you may be walking around in. Be sure to take a moment for you. Sometimes that is the most difficult thing for those of us who care for everything else to do. I tell you some things I remember so vividly about 'that week' and it was my MIL who made me sit and take care of me for a moment! Still thinking of you!!

My heart goes out to you and my prayers are with you. There is nothing like losing a parent.

I think "paperwork" was created as a diversion from the full impact of grief. It's good to take a break from all things "stuff"...a wise guy your Andy is, asking you to leave it and rest. I think of you often. :)

Hope you can get a restful and peaceful break from all you have been dealing with.

You've had quite an intense number of months of worry and watchful waiting, and then finally, the deepest loss a child can have. Hope your break does refresh you and set you looking toward the future. My deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved mother.
