YIPPEE for Rehab!

Once again I must thank Sinta for her fantastic idea of BOM Rehab...because of her I've stayed on top of my 2 current BOM's and because of her encouraging everyone to post their progress I've even taken my Designer 2012 BOM from Fat Quarter Shop on step further.  Last Sunday Yvette posted her progress on hers and I decided that that was the BEST idea...I have the finishing kit...I'm going to follow Yvette's lead...finish the first row with the sashings...so instead of just doing this month's block...
I also did the sashing and put the first row together.
Thank you Yvette for the inspiration and Thank you Sinta for coming up with this wonderful, wonderful idea.  There's just something about being a little bit accountable to keep me on task.

I'd also like to share a product that I've found that I absolutely love.  Two weeks ago when I went in to get my nails done the gal was just having a fit that my hands were so dry and and that my cuticles were a mess...so I told her I play with fabric all the time and no amount of hand cream seems to do a thing for my hands.  She told me about this...
and I'm here to tell you in 2 weeks my hands have improved remarkably.  I put it on every night...it's much like the consistency of Vaseline...it only takes a very little bit.  I put a dab on and really massage it into my hands...I saw a big difference the very first morning.  It's not like the Vaseline treatments my mom used to do on her hands, she's glob it on and then put white gloves on until it soaked in...truly just a little dab with do it and results like I can't even believe.  This in no way is a paid advertisement...I'm just a very happy girl with much smoother hands...wanting to pass it on.

Happy week everyone!

Yay for you on your rehab and getting the leap on your 2012 BOM!!!! Great job. I love Aquaphor and have used it on my heels...don't know why they get dry but the Aquaphor has helped so much!!!

Oh, I remember the Vaseline treatment. Glad to know there is a viable option! : )

I will have to try Aquaphor, my hands are dry also.

I wonder how the Aquaphor works on dry feet? I'll have to try it.

What a great idea to work on the sashing as you go and get rows done. You can really see how it's going to look.

Carol, I don't think I could manage without Aquaphor! My Scleroderma makes all of my skin more that dry, hard to explain, but just suffice to say that areas of my face, hand and feet, will crack and bleed. When I asked the doctor what to use on the corners of my mouth one time when both sides were cracked so deeply that I couldn't eat (hubby makes me lots of smoothies, they work with straws, LOL) and I could barley talk without it bleeding, I expected some pricey prescription...but he told me to stalk up on Aquaphor and I've been using it ever since. It is wonderful stuff. I especially like the little tubes that work well in my purse as lip balm. However, I have to say that I tried Aquaphors actual lip balm product and it is flavored and slightly medicated so I stay away from that. Just good old Aquaphor for me. For my hands, I use the Eucerin Cream at night. I slather it on and put the lightweight white cotton gloves that you buy in the pharmacy area on for a few hours at bedtime. Great stuff!!!
OH! and I love your blocks. I wish I had joined in the BOM rehab. I have several I need to catch up on. Big Hugs...

Love the blocks. Aquaphor is what my OH son recommended when the FL cousins got all chapped ice skating. He said they use it all winter, all the time. It works!

I am doing that BOM also!! I love the blocks so far but was waiting to get the finishing kit. Now that I have seen yours though, hmmmm

I wonder if the Aquaphor would help my swimmers? We will have to try it!

I swear by just about any Eucerin product! I've never tried Aquaphor ... I'll have to check it out, especially with winter coming.

Lots of great progress on your BOM - looking great!

I'll have to remember Aquaphor this winter - thank you for the tip.

Aqcuaphor is very expensive, Walmart makes an 'Equate' brand of it. usually sits right next to the acquaphor.
I am allergic to a lot of soaps, and will break out easily. I alternate between acquaphor, Gold Bond (w shea) and often a couple other brands.

Aquaphor is great stuff! I have eczema and my dermatologist recommended it. It seems to be the only thing that really helps and believe me, I've tried a lot.
