My heart is full...you all sure know how to make a girl feel soooooooooooo much better. As I was writing my last post I kept thinking "Well, I just hope they don't think I've gone off the rails"...you know I was also thinking "I wonder if I'm the only one that ever does this to themselves and feels this way"...and you all were so wonderful and made me realize that I'm not alone...there is much comfort in that. So thank you all from the bottom of my heart...I was truly humbled by your comments and so very thankful. I've saved every single comment and will be writing each one of you a note...you have touched my heart and just have no idea how much you have helped me. Blogland friends are amazing!
I've been sewing this week and having lots of fun...playing with Christmas fabric...this won't be ready for this year but I'll have a new quilt for next year. I've used pieces of Twelve Days of Chritmas (Kate Spain's group from 3 Christmas' ago...I had a ton of it) and this year's group Joy...These ornaments
that Camille designed are just so darn much fun to do. I'm going to be sad when I don't have anymore to do...I have one more to put together tomorrow and then the sashings and borders. So much FUN!
I have to share this little cleaning tip with you...pipe cleaners or as they call them now...chenille stems...they bend
and get into those nooks and crannies that we can't get to...I use them when I do a real clean of my machine or just a little touch up like I'm doing today
...they work great...the dust bunnies stick right to them, they're cheap and when the get icky, just toss them in the trash and start over.
And just have to share this pic of my boys...
they were waiting for their Sunday scrambled eggs...Zack is doing pretty well...he's still eating great, loves his walks, is happy as he can be and getting around without problems. He's so sweet...we go back to the vet on Wednesday so we'll see what she says. Fingers and toes crossed for me little old man.
Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Clever Girl! Great idea about the pipe cleaners! I'm sure I still have a few of those floating around here from the kids' crafting days. That quilt will be super cute. Well, it already is, but it'll be cuter when you can snuggle under it! Sending prayers for Zack!
Mr Zack is in good hands with you, Andy and Howie. Excellent care givers. :-)
Your ornaments are looking wonderful. Definitely a fun project.
Chenille stems (aka pipe cleaners) are a great solution for getting those dust bunnies in the machine.
Pipe cleaners! I wouldn't have thought of it!~ thanks! Your blocks are so cute. Hoping Zack's appt goes well. Happy Sunday!
When I worked selling PFAFF machines in Germany we used them to clean the machines regularly. Love that pattern!
I've never heard of using pipe cleaners...if I ever sew again I'll keep this in mind. As for going off the rails, all I can say is that I've been on and off the rails faster than a speeding locomotive. These past few months, I've had big life changes and the lessons to go with them, too many of both. But I still have my mom, who I will see in a few short weeks. I'm sorry your mom could not stay longer, there is just so much more to share! This past year, Lucy has had illness and dental issues too, she is still a trooper and happily followed us here to New Mexico. What she would not give for a fresh patch of green grass to roll in! I'm glad that you were able to patch up your boy and that he's still enjoying life. Such precious boys you have...all of them, lol. This year, our holidays look nothing like years past and it's going to be interesting to see how we celebrate without family, friends or anything familiar around us. Life is different, but still here for us to do with as we wish...pretty much, lol. Have you read anything good lately?
Carol, I just read your last post - we all go thru things like that to one degree. Glad it's over for you. And I agree with you about Darlene :). Hope Zack gets a good report. I also just found out recently about pipe cleaners and how well they do for cleaning the machine. Thanks for sharing.
OMG, your boys look like conjoined twins! Love you new quilt.
We must get together for lunch in the new year.
Love those ornaments. You can always make another one when you're finished and do a giveaway. HAHA. One of our local quilt shops gives away a pipe cleaner with purchase. I love using them. Isn't it fun to pick up all that lint? We're nutzo!
I'm so very glad that you and the pup are both doing better. That new Christmas quilt is simply adorable. Can't wait to see it all together. Thanks for sharing.
I am glad you are feeling better..and Zack too! Your ornaments are so cheerful! I have that on my every growing list for AfTer the new year. Good luck in your coming week!
I had to go back and see the comments everyone left on your last post, since I read it soon after you posted. Isn't it nice to be understood? And loved!
Those ornament blocks look so fun! What a cute idea.
The photo of your boys is a smile-maker, for sure! : )
Just love that picture of your guys...so glad Zack is better!! Your quilt is coming along very nicely....I love, love that pattern. Made one this year, and think I will make another next year for my daughter! That's a great tip on using the pipe cleaners! (hugs)
I'll have to give that pipe cleaner tip a try, thanks! There's always one little bit of fluff I cant reach.
love these ornaments, they do look fun to make
I just know Zack will pass the exam on Wed with flying colors!
Kathie
Love the ornaments - too cute! Where did you buy your pipe cleaners? blessings, marlene
Oh dear Carol, I just read your previous post. Oh sugar, I am so sorry about your furbaby Zack, but soooo happy that he's getting better. These furbabies take our hearts on long emotional journeys with so many ups and downs...
The 'firsts' of everything leaves us longing---just longing---for that loved one that has crossed over. Very tough to deal with. In time it becomes more natural to not 'see' them but if you reach out with your mind, you find that they are right here beside us. :) I can tell you right up front that Christmas is especially hard when your parent has just crossed. We are orphans and bereft without Mom. Life became really really strange when my Mom left us.
Depression is a yucky place to be---my family has lots of first-hand knowledge with depression. We tie knots, hang on, wade through the mire and muck, and hopefully, eventually, we do begin to see the light again. I'm so glad that you are starting to feel better, my dear friend. We all do care. Hugs to you and Andy and those beautiful furbabies.
Rally up the pipe cleaners-- great idea!!! Love the boys picture...They look hungry to me. Never think your crazy. You're more normal than you think. You're just one of the brave ones to admit it.....
Besides--- Crazy people don't think their crazy---scary...Keep smiling....
Thanks for the great tip Carol! I hope Zack continues to improve -- it's so hard to see our animals not well. I hope you are feeling better too!
I never thought to use "pipe cleaners"!! What a great idea. Love your quilts!
