It's Finished

Well, it's not totally finished...but the top is finished and I am absolutely crazy about it. I can take absolutely no credit for picking the fabric...it was a kit that I bought last year from The Olde Green Cupboard in Jacksonville, FL...and the pattern is Gingersnap from Carrie Nelson's book It's a Dog's LifeI love the piano key border…lots of work but I think it makes the quilt.

On to October…I hope it doesn’t fly by quite as quickly as September did. I need to set my Charming Girl’s goals for this month. I think this month will be for some catching up on some things that didn’t get done in September…Hmmmm, BOM’s are stacking up.

My quilt holder is doing great…he’s completed his first week of physical therapy and is making marked progress with each visit. The therapist is thrilled! Thank you for all of your well wishes…you can’t imagine how much it has meant to us.

It's beautiful Carol! Can you believe how fast this year is going? It scares me to think how close Christmas is -- didn't we just take down the decorations???

Absolutely gorgeous quilt!! I have fabric for "Gingersnaps" in a bag around here somewhere. Maybe I should add this to my need-to-do-soon pile now that I see how great yours turned out! Glad to hear that Mr. Quilt Holder is doing well!!!! He does such a nice job:)

I can see why you like the quilt top! A good finish. Piano key borders are a lot of cutting and stitching but they do add a lot of pizazzz to the quilt.
Glad to hear that Mr. Quilt Holder is doing well. When does he think he will have the other knee done?

Excellent! Completely different from my Gingersnaps, huh? Love the blues. I'll give you credit for having a good eye in choosing a fun design and color combination along with fabulous piecing work. Love when I find fabrics already put together in a kit ~ I know it's going to be what I want. Hurray for the quilt holder guy!! Tell him hello and congratulate him on his determination to recover from a challenging surgery, sounds like he is doing well. :o)
