I got my hair trimmed and eyebrows waxed yesterday, had a manicure today, my suitcase is packed, the pet/house sitter is arranged...we're really excited about our new pet sitters, a young couple and they're staying here with the boys...they came by Wednesday evening for any last minute stuff that I thought of and Zack sat the entire time with his head in her lap and Howie sat right next to him...if my boys are happy, I'm happy so I think I'm ready... We're heading to Pennsylvania (where it's going to be in the 80's instead of high 90's with humidity of a zillion) in the morning to celebrate our friend's retirement from teaching. We'll fly into Pittsburgh, and head up to their house with a quilt shop stop along the way, and then Sunday we're going to Ohio to a bed and breakfast where there will be a luncheon for her...we'll be staying there Sunday night...Monday morning after breakfast and goodbyes we'll be heading to visit Andy's 2 brothers, with a little side trip to another quilt shop...so I probably won't be back until late next week, I'm not taking my computer...have fun while I'm gone!
I started cutting my Between Friends Quilt Along quilt, but I haven't gotten as far as I'd hoped. I'm using 30's and KONA white. I just found out that a neighbor is having twins so this will be one quilt and then I'm going to do Crazy Mom Quilts quilt along for the other one...same fabrics but the quilts will be just a little different...I'm going to do the little version of Between Friends and add some extra blocks to make it a bit bigger. So when I get back I'm going to have to get cutting and sewing to catch up with everyone. Have a good week everyone! See you when I get back!
