Yummy Caramel Chocolate Cake

Yum! I could eat this cake all by myself...and it's easy peasy.

Ingredients...
Devil's food cake mix
Smucker's squeeze sundae syrup
8 oz container of Cool Whip
Heath bar chips (can be found with the chocolate chips)

That's it...prepare the cake mix and bake following the package directions...I made 2- 8" cakes so I could take one to mom...as soon as it comes out of the oven poke holes in it with the wooden handle of a small spatula...fill the holes with the caramel...let cool...frost with the Cool Whip (I used half of the container on each cake)...sprinkle with the Heath bar chips...refrigerate...ENJOY!!!!!!!!!

This reminds me of the Better Than Sex Cake recipe. I put the chocolate cake in a 9 x 13, bake, while still hot poke holes and first fill with a can of sweetened condensed milk followed by caramel or they used to sell Milky Way (my favorite that I can't find anymore) Once these settle in and cake cools in the fridge...then add the cool whip topping along with shaved chocolate and nuts if you like them. I agree Carol...this cake is GOOD. Those who hadn't tried will love it.

I just started the Jenny Craig diet yesterday. Today's lunch - let's just say that it is not on my list. Anyway, that cake looks soooo good that I am going to lose a couple extra pounds, then I am going to make this cake and eat it myself!
