Happy Ironing

This is my new favorite thing...Mary Ellen's Best Press...It is wonderful! Vicky has mentioned using this product on her blog...and she loves it. I couldn't find it anywhere around here so I went online and ordered it from Mary Ellen Products. The service from them was great and I love the product, the down side was that the shipping was almost as much as the Best Press.

But I'll tell you it sure is great. I loved the Niagra starch in the non-areosol can but I like this better. You don't have to spray much...it smells great and every seam is wonderfully crisp.

This is a block from my Celebrate Spring jelly roll purchase. I have 12 blocks done...and lots more in process...it goes really fast...the guest room quilt will be done in no time.

I'm heading outside to the pool with hubby for a while...the sun is out and it's hot and the pool is wonderful...I'll float around in my pool chair and read my book for a while...it's supposed to storm later so I'll have time to get the shop BOM instructions written and a little sewing done.

Enjoy yur Sunday!

I guess I missed the mention of this product on the other blog. I am not much of a starcher, maybe thats why my blocks are not crisp looking like others. I might have to try that. The blocks look fun, post the top when finished.

I missed the mention on Vicky's blog about Mary Ellen's product also. I've seen it advertised but hadn't heard any commentary about it. I'll have to try it sometime soon. I've been using a scented ironing spray by Hamilton Beach that is wonderful. It's not a starch alternative but smells heavenly - right now I'm using Serene Dawn. I've been able to find it at WalMart by the irons.

I love your Celebrate Spring blocks! So cute!

A great tip - I love to use starch but don't care for aerosol so mix up my own liquid concoction. I'll have to check our MaryEllen - sounds like a fun product. Love your blocks, too.

Thanks for mentioning how you like the Best Press. We don't yet have this in Canada. I will be looking for this product the next time I head south. The fabrics in your blocks are gorgeous!

I've been reading about the Best Press. I don't usually use starch but I think they have more than one product. I'll have to look it up again.
