Home Again, Home Again

Well, all good things come to an end...our beach vacation is over and we are home. It was really great to get home...I called Andy after I dropped Mom off to let him know I'd be home in about half an hour...as I drove up to the house all 3 of my boys were in the front windows waiting for me. They really missed me. Howie and Zack jumped and carried on like I'd been gone for months...unconditional love...wonderful.Andy admitted that he really missed me this trip. This is the first time I've left for a whole week since he retired. He said it was really different being around the house all the time and me not ever being here...he said when he worked, he missed me when I was gone but it was different, he was at work all day, then feeding and taking care of the dogs, fixing his dinner and then the day would be about over...after all these years together, it's so sweet. He really is a gem.
My friend Sharon is participating in Pay It Forward and I was lucky enough to be one of her 3...so here's the deal...if you want to play along...be one of the first 3 to leave a comment and say you want to play and you will receive a gift from me and made by me within the next 365 days (it will be much sooner than that I promise) then put it on your blog and 3 people will sign up on your blog. Sounds like tons of fun to me.
Come on...who wants to play?

So glad you had a good vacation! I know what you mean about husbands, mine started by saying he missed me and by the last night after 4 days he was saying...enough already come home, we don't like it alone here anymore! Good to be missed!

My Sweetie told me the same thing when I was away for a bit after he retired. Said it was really different to be rattling around the house alone.

I'd love to play Pay it Forward with you but I'm going to pass as I have something else planned.

Isn't it sweet how much they miss you when you're gone? I know my husband is lost without me. I think it's from being married for 35 years - old habits are hard to break! It's wonderful to be wanted and needed, and so good to be back home after being gone!
I would sign up for your PIF, but I have already done so with Darlene. It's such a wonderful idea, isn't it?
