Making Progress

First, the biggest THANK YOU to all of you from Mom, and us...it's been quite a week, but I'm happy to say we've made some good progress.  I got Mom home yesterday afternoon...they let her go around 5 p.m...after the physical therapist deemed her strong enough to go home.  2 units of blood and some really strong antibiotics and she's feeling much better...not completely there yet, but she's home and that makes her very happy.  I'll be honest with you though, it makes me very nervous.  She does have her nurse call button with her if she needs them, I'm just hoping and praying that she doesn't need them.

I'm going to sign off for now...try to get some things done...and come back later! ENJOY your Friday!

So glad she's doing better. And, she'll continue getting well now that she's at home. Those hospitals are buggers!

Happy to hear that your mom got out of the hospital, and is doing better. I know what you mean about nervousness of not having a nurse on call. I always feel that the people who live to such an age have some kind of fight in them to have made it so far.

Carol, Such wonderful news. She will recover much better at home because she will be more comfortable and certainly rest much better. Hospitals are NOT a place to go for rest, LOL. All the same, I will continue keeping you all in prayer, a most powerful tool :o) ... Thanks so much for taking time to let us know how things were going. Big Hugs for you and very Gentle Hugs for your mom...

So wonderful to have her home - and hopefully on the mend. Pneumonia is not fun. Sending lots of positive energy your way. Judy C

Whew! That's hard, worrying about our parents as they get older and more frail. But lucky for your mom that she has you to do that worrying for her!
