We went to the grocery store this morning and they had my very favorite cherries...Ranier Cherries...they are a lot more expensive by about $3 a pound but I don't even care. The season is very short and I enjoy every single one of them as long as they are around. I got a pound and I'll try not to eat the whole thing today. Last year I did that on the first batch I got and oh my goodness did I have a stomach ache.
If you've never had them and you like cherries you must try them. They make me do the dance!

Oh Carol, we are twins when it comes to those cherries! love, Love, LOVE them!! Haven't had any yet this season, as they were about $6 a pound here last week. May have to do it anyway!! :/ Enjoy!
Mmmmm - Ranier cherries are my fave, too!!!!! I haven't seen them in the stores yet, but I will load up when I do. The cost doesn't matter because they are the most delicious bits of heaven to put in your mouth *s* When I was a little girl they were called Queen Anne cherries and it took me a couple of seasons to catch on to the new name. Enjoy - I'm off to see if I can find some.
Hate cherries actually, but they do look pretty! Now any time I see raspberries, especially the golden ones, I buy them. No care about the price...I just have to have them. I usually gobble the whole packet too!
Ah yes - love the cherries! We have a tree in our back yard with three kinds on it - the Bing limb died - including Rainiers. Unfortunately the birds get all the sweet cherries before they are ready enough to pick. They leave the pie cherries alone - I wonder why?
A girl after my own heart. Cherries. YUMMO!!! I actually just bought more. But I dont think I've ever had the Ranier kind. I'll have to look for those. Quick too I guess if the season is short.
Watch out for that tummy ache when you eat too much. :-)
I've never tried those cherries before, but I'm definitely going to have to look for them now!
I just love the fabric collection you got from the brown truck the other day. Looks lucious!
I absolutely love them. I never had them until two summers ago when we were in Washington at the right time. Talk about cheap cherries! And I ate way too many, but they were so good! I was thinking of them earlier this week when I bought Bings.
