I Came Back

First and most importantly... we finally got the report...the EKG is perfect. Thank goodness...They were supposed to hear yesterday and after Katie calling many times they finally got them today... But the wonderful news is that he's fine...he just needs to eat. Oh I should have that problem. LOL! Thank you to all of you who sent along good thoughts...you all are so great...I can always count on you!
I finished the binding on the Roman Holiday Stars quilt and got my man to hold it up for me today...He asked me who was getting this one...we are...we're keeping this one...I just love it!
I got the quilt top done today for our local Hospice...I used the Collection for a Cause fabric, Heritage...it looks so old...this is one beautiful group of fabric. And as I promised...here's my cute little snowman ornament that Lynda gave me on Saturday.

Isn't he a cutie!
Tomorrow I need to get back to my dog blocks...need to get the other half of the herd done, so I can get it to the quilter. There's never a lack of things to do!

I think you are wise to keep that quilt . . . I know I wouldn't want to turn loose of it!

How many fat quarters did it take to cut out the dog quilt?
Your snowman pin and tomato pincushion are both great little gifties.
I am glad that Hampton's report is good thus far and I hope there are no more scary episodes.
Your donation quilt that you are working on is going to be a good one. The fabric selection is right up my alley.

Yay! so so glad your gs is okay.

I just love your Roman Holiday star quilt, I love stars...What kind of background fabric did you use? When I squint at the pic I can't tell! LOL

The hospice quilt is lovely, how big are the blocks and how big is the quilt? It will provide lots of comfort...

Hi Carol,
My friends and I made some of the blocks for Lynda's quilts! It's a small world...what are the chances I'd read your blog, that you know Lynda, and we made blocks? I can't wait to see the finished quilts! We all still gt together to quilt or do projects for other charities...we just finished a Tshirt quilt to raffle off at school (we all work at a school)for a scholarship fund. Lynda started us on this journey of sewing together for others!

Thanks to all!

You already know I'm happy about Hampton's report. Huge sigh of relief!

Here's the plan for your quilts - you send them to me, I'll get them quilted and send them right back to you. Yes, really I'll send them right back - really I will. ROFLOL They are both beautiful - glad you're keeping the stars!

It is uncanny how similar our tastes are! The Heritage collection is my current favorite fabric group. And you are way ahead of me with your Coventry quilt. Mine isn't even quilted yet! Good news about Hampton.

Your start quilt is absolutely lovely! It would be very hard to part with that one...

Your star quilt is breathtaking, Carol! I would definitely keep it too. The hospice quilt is beautiful - that fabric line is so elegant. The snowman pin is adorable, and the best part is, every time you wear it you will think of your friend.

Nan said...

Oops! I'm a dummy - I thought it said "pin" not "ornament". I can't read this morning, can I? Oh well, every time you LOOK at it you will think of her.
Oh, and the eating problem? I see food, I eat it. LOL

Kate said...

Oh, I love the star quilt! Don't blame you for wanting to keep it!
