Dear Santa

I loved this fabric the moment I saw it...it just reminded me of the wrapping paper on Christmas gifts when I was a kid.  Lots of memories...when I finished it
this afternoon and brought it down for my Mr. QuiltHolder to help me get a photo, he immediately said, "Who is this one for?" and just as immediately I responded "It's for me".  I don't do that very often...my quilts usually go to someone else, not this one...I'm going to curl up in the memories.

Good for you! I don't blame you - it is beautiful and may those memories, and your quilt bring you much joy! Isn't it great how a fabric, or a song, or a smell can whisk you right back to when you were a child?

So cute Carol! I agree... the Dear Santa fabric reminds me of x-mas wrapping paper of days gone by. I'm happy the quilt is for you!

I'm not a Christmas fabric person but I agree, there is a lot of "when I was a child" in that fabric. I keep about a quarter of the quilts I make because I love sleeping under and waking up to them. Every morning I find I smile as I see the quilt. And I change them out almost every time I change the sheets. Never a dull moment in my bedroom. ;-)
