A Pretty Good Day!
Sorry, another post that's very short and no pictures...but just stopping to thank you all so very much for all of your wonderful wishes for my man. He didn't get much sleep last night, just couldn't ever get comfortable. He had 2 therapy sessions, a real dinner tonight and back in his continuous motion machine. Tomorrow he and the walker are going to become best friends. Again, Thank you all for your comments and e-mails...you have no idea how much they mean to us. I'll be back tomorrow!

I'm cheering him on! The walker will be gone in no time and he'll be doing marathons!
I will pray for better rest for him tonight:)
Andy will do fantastic in therapy. Before you know it he will be racing you on your walks.
Physical therapy is the hardest part of joint replacement. Take it from an RN plus an RN that has had joint replacement. That being said, it will get better. Have him do his exercises, even if it is difficult, and slowly but surely you WILL see improvement. One last thing....take pain medication. It will help him do his exercises (and remember, exercises will make the joint stronger). You will see a gradual decrease in the need, but not in the beginning. It is ok to take pain meds....really!
Best Friends are so important....but you can be sure Andy and the walker will NOT be BFF!! That would be YOU!!! I am sure you are such an encouragement to him!!
The walker will soon be stored in the garage to collect dust. For now...just keep on doing as they say and he'll be sprinting in no time!
I'm so glad he's doing so well!
I was wondering how things were going. I don't think anyone gets rest in a hospital.
I don't expect an answer as you are so busy. I was just thinking about the boys. They are probably missing Andy a lot!
So glad he is doing good. :o)
Well seeing as how if there were pictures they'd have to be of Andy's stitches or something it's probably just as well lolol!!! I'm glad he got real food--hopefully he'll sleep better. They should give him an Ambien or something. I bet he's anxious to get home, hospitals are the worst places in the world for any kind of rest!
Its good to hear he is doing well. Hopefully once he can move around some with the walker and be able to rest some tonight. Take care of yourself too!
Sounds like things are going well Carol. These days are the hardest -- hang in there!
Just remember to keep up your strength for the both of you!
Glad to hear that everything is progressing right along nicely. Hopefully sleep will come tonight.Good thoughts and hugs to both of you.
Glad he is recovering. Therapy will do wonders!
Glad to hear surgery went well. Now PT which is going to be tough but it will be worth it. Hope you both are getting some rest.
He will be dancing on the table tops before you know it! Good wishes for his speedy recovery.
So glad it went well Carol and he's on the road to recovery. It's not easy, but it will take a little time, then he'll be off running and feeling like a million bucks again!
Hey Miss Carol....just thought you might not realize but.....
