After teaching for 24 years and then fulfilling my dream of having a quilt shop, I retired the end of August 2007. Having the shop for almost 8 years was wonderful...I had a great time, met lots of people that I am happy to call friends, but the time came to retire. Andy retired in April, so the time was right. I'm loving spending time with him and getting to go see my 2 grandsons, granddaughter, son and daughter-in-law whenever I want. And I get to SEW!
It's not a speedy process...but Between Friends is growing. I decided to lay it out on the "design floor" so I could see how big it was getting...then I'll know when to stop. I'm really liking it a lot...it's darn cute...Thank you Darlene and Kelly!
I love it!!!I so wanted to join in. But I'm cleaning up projects... Spring cleaning in July. Your project is darling. You are really going to love this when it's completed. Plus the added perk of friends making one too. Have fun.
how wonderful! It looks fab on your "design floor". I jumped in and am sewing my blocks together this weekend- the little guy version- a very fun experience. Can't wait to see it all put together.
Oh that is going to be soooo cute!! How big are you making it? Have you decided? I'm thinking of doing another one bigger also...think I'll wait and see what you do :)
Oh Carol - I love that fabric! It's going to be so bright and cheery! Can't wait to see more - I'm working on Darlene to get her to design another quilt for us (smile)!

This is great fun! Lo
I really like the layout. The quilt looks so nice, it is hard to believe that it is only 2 different blocks. Have fun.
Double dang darn cute even!
It just keeps growing and growing...
Looks great Carol, can't wait to see it all done!

That is a fun quilt and I think worth going for the big one. :-D
I have one of those nifty design floors too. It has quilt blocks on it right now aging. Like fine wine or cheese, they sometimes need to age.

That's where I lay my stuff out too, on the design floor. Love you blocks, they are pretty fun to make.
that is so stunning. What size are the blocks, so I can get a better idea of the size of the quilt. Thanks.
Isn't it fun to make Carol?? I like it so much. I need to finish mine.
